You murdered my innocence as a child
Stripped in so many ways
With such disregard
For my eventual outcome
You stripped me dry of emotion
Stored in some unreachable place, I gave up.
One might say you must have “some” love at your core but;
You do not; under your supervision,
Is it conceivable that I could?
You stripped me of my communication skills
In that you ignored me in a way that I often
Questioned my own existence
You stripped me of any respect I might have had for my body

She holds her hands over his mind,
So what sense he has he cannot find.
She holds her hands over his eyes,
And blinds him from his lies.
She holds her hands over each of his ears,
So the tales that he tells he cannot hear.
She holds her hands over his tongue,
So he cannot speak of the good things he’s done.
She holds her hands over his like a glove,
So he cannot touch the one that he loves.

You’re walking down the street with your wife or girlfriend; you’re on your way to some sort of destination simply looking ahead in no particular direction when WHACK, you get smacked upside the face, back, or whatever body part is available: “WHAT are you looking at???” she demands. I was walking into Subway and this man clearly saw I was directly behind him and let himself in and shut the door on me - I hate such lack of manners and will not tolerate it.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe it’s common knowledge that when you are going into some sort of establishment and someone is behind you, and especially if they are directly behind you, that you hold the door open for them, wouldn’t you agree?
